Using Notepad to track resources:
Notepad (Microsoft Windows application) can be
used to track resources using a 2D
Barcode Wedge scanner capable of reading PDF427
barcodes. Salmander Firetrax/Intertrax badges
and/or US & Canadian Drivers Licenses contain
PDF417 barcode symbols with name information (plus
much more). See the AAMVA
specification for details of DL Barcode. Using
Notepads built in (F5 function key) date time
stamp, individual scans can be date time stamped
in or out (see Notepad
Date Time Stamp). Notepads find & replace
can also be used to change the AAMVA
delimiter codes from (for example) "DAA
to Name: " in an entire tracking log.
